What is the state of yoru friendship if he askes for your number?

So my friendjust had a bday party and there was this guy and we were talking and he seemed like he liked ta;king to me, i found him on Facebook and he sent me a message saying "Hey whats your #?" I'm just curious if he may like me or if thinks we should talk more or what? Thanks for any answers!
