Got bad sunburn, need a little info on the after-math of sunburn?

i got badly burnt on my back.. its peeling now, and i tried to put lotion on it and my back stung badly. my question is, shouldi be concerned that it stung in the spots where my skin is peeling? and will i get tanner after the peeling process is finished?
