Is it possible to get sunburnt just on the nose?

My nose and a tiny area surrounding it (and a weird line) are very red and it burns. Ive been out in the sun for hours today, but if its a sunburn then why is it just that area? why not my neck or rest of face? Could it be something else? I just put this sunburn gel on it.
