Can a sunburn heal without peeling?

I got a sunburn on my nose and the skin surrounding it on tuesday, my nose went from bright red to light orange but its not peeling.. it hurts less though. The skin around it is like a really rough crust and I have no sensation there, if I frown it gets really wrinkly
