Serious post bikini wax problem?

I decided to give myself an at home wax however I didn't know you should wait until after tanning and after you period. Now I'm left with serious pain for over 3 days and slight red, swelling down there. I'm not sure why. It feels like a really bad sunburn on top of a huge bruise. It even hurts to wear clothes or move. Can anybody give me some answers as to what this is and how to help???
