What does te no hira literally mean?
It's a word from a song Hoshi no mienai yoru from the anime Air Gear, whether it's from an episode a group list of episodes or a movie ending, but for a lot of reasons I thought this word was pronounced as TEN-O-HEE-RAH instead of TAY-NO-HEE-RAH, which is probably why I used to believe this word had something to do with the sky because ten in Japanese, from the Chinese tian1 means sky and it turned out that it actually meant palm, something to do with the hand. So when I sang "Kira kira to yuki no hitohira maorite boku no tenohira kekkyoku inori wa narubeku shite, katachi, joutai, iro ni naru" I thought hitohira meant person something too except for the Kanji is totally different and 人 was not one of the Kanji or the Chinese symbol ren2 which transliterated to jin in Japanese. So what does it literally mean since I found out it's TAY-NO-HEE-RAH and NOT TEN-O-HEE-RAH!?
