Vocal Cord Dysfunction (VCD) help?

ok, im 14. i was diagnosed with VCD when i was 12 or 13. i hate it. it makes me sound like im 3. and some of my friends said that it sounds like i breathed in helium. which everyone knows, makes ur voice higher. i never told any of my friends i have VCD cause its not a known disease sort of. i haaaaaaaaaaaaate it.i want it gone, like i want surgery or something but i dont want a hole in my throat cause that really creeps me out.and i stopped going to the doctor for it because my insurance stopped covering it. and i dont know if im getting better or not. anyway, my question(s) are. 1. with VCD, does it really make people sound like they sucked in helium? 2. is there surgery for it that WONT leave a hole in my throat?
