Sunburn or Chemical Burn?

Hey guys, I was at the public pool with a couple of friends today, foregot to put on sunscreen and went in the water. I have super sensitive skin, and have a history or getting a chemical burn, but once I feel it getting hot I get out, and wash my face, and don't get back in. But im not sure whether or not it is a chemical burn or a sun burn, and I need it to go away quickly. It hot and sore and kind rough when I touch it, i kinda would like to know which it is, if you can tell from the bad description i gave, and I would like to know what is the best way to to treat it.
